We warmly welcome you to the

Synchrotron Light Finland 2021

12th FSRUO annual meeting

02.12.–03.12.2021

Zoom-webinar

FSRUO annual meeting is an occasion to learn about current and future facility capabilities and the latest user research. The meeting is open for everyone interested in utilizing international large-scale light source facilities in their research.

Keynote speakers:

  • Dr. Antti Kivimäki (MAXIV): "FinEstBeAMS in action - behind the scenes of a synchrotron radiation experiment"
  • Dr. Mattis Fondell (Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin):  "Liquid jet experiments at Beamline UE49-SGM"
  • Prof. Marco Kirm (Institute of Physics, University of Tartu):  "Time-Resolved Luminescence Studies of Relaxation Processes of Electronic Excitations in Wide Gap Materials Exhibiting Ultrafast Emissions using Finnish - Estonian FinEstBeAMS and FemtoMAX beamlines"
  • Dr. Antony Vamvakeros (Finden, UK) "Chemical Tomography and Deep Learning"

Presentations from Finnish research groups

We invite researchers to present their work at the workshop by giving short presentations (15 min + 5 min for questions). We try our best to accommodate a contribution presentation from all the research groups in Finland utilizing synchrotron or free electron laser light in their work but due to the limited number of slots the scientific advisory board reserves the right to select the presentations. The deadline for abstract submission is 17th November!
